DECARBOMILE at the ALICE Brokerage Event 2026 – Strengthening collaborations for Horizon Europe calls

In February 2026, the DECARBOMILE Project took part in the ALICE Brokerage Event 2026, an important gathering of logistics innovators, researchers, industry stakeholders and European cooperation networks held in Brussels. The event was organised by ALICE – the Alliance for Logistics Innovation through Collaboration in Europe, and focused on supporting collaboration and proposal development for the upcoming Horizon Europe 2026-2027 calls.

The two-day programme, held alongside the ALICE General Assembly, provided DECARBOMILE partners with invaluable opportunities to engage in strategic discussions, build new connections and explore future funding partnerships in the field of freight transport, logistics innovation and sustainable mobility.

A platform for collaboration and matchmaking

The Brokerage Event is specifically designed to help projects like DECARBOMILE connect with potential partners, share ideas and identify synergies for future research and innovation proposals under Horizon Europe. Participants benefited from:

  • Insight sessions on upcoming Horizon Europe calls, including sustainable urban mobility, competitive multimodal freight and autonomous logistics solutions
  • Discussion tables, where project teams could dive deeper into specific topic areas and exchange expertise with peers.
  • One-to-one brokerage meetings to find collaborators and define potential consortiums for future projects.
  • Networking opportunities across the broader logistics innovation ecosystem.

For DECARBOMILE, being present at the ALICE Brokerage Event 2026 provided increased visibility within the European innovation community and reinforced the project’s role in advancing low-emission logistics solutions. By engaging with other Horizon Europe stakeholders, the team strengthened its potential for future collaborations and ensured that urban and inland waterway freight decarbonisation remains central to upcoming EU research priorities.

Looking ahead

The insights and connections gained at the Brokerage Event will help shape DECARBOMILE’s engagement in Horizon Europe calls, supporting the project’s mission to drive greener, more efficient freight delivery modes across Europe.

Stay tuned for updates on how these collaborations evolve and contribute to the broader decarbonisation agenda in logistics.
